Cuyamaca Rancho State Park Interpretive Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. For over 20 years they have supported the mission of California State Parks through educational and interpretive activities.

California State Parks Foundation Since their founding in 1969, CSPF is the only statewide independent nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and advocating for California's magnificent state parks. With over 130,000 members, they are leading the fight to save our 70 parks from closure.

Naturalists at Large is the leading outdoor and environmental education group in California. Since 1985 they have provided outdoor education programs for tens of thousands of students. You may have seen them leading large groups of canoeists through Picacho's natural wonders.

Convair Water Ski Club is based in San Diego and offers an easy and inexpensive way to enjoy waterskiing, wake boarding,and bare footing. They take weekend camping, and skiing trips to Picacho SRA during the spring and fall.

San Diego Association of Geologists have enjoyed visits to the park with all of its geologic features. SDAG and F4P member , Todd Wirths, recently published a book, "Picacho and the Cargo Muchachos: Gold, Guns, and Geology of Eastern Imperial County, Ca.

Friends of Palomar Mountain State Park is the nonprofit organization, leading the fight to save Palomar Mountain State Park from closure. They have entered into a donor agreement with Cal State Parks to support the park financially for the next three years.
