Picacho State Recreation Area lies on 9 miles of the pristine Colorado River.  Along with its backwater lakes, the park provides a haven for fish, wildlife, and waterfowl.  With 54 campsites, 3 boat launches, and 4 boat-in camps, Picacho SRA provides diverse recreational opportunities for campers, hunters, boaters, hikers, and naturalists.

Over 100 years ago, Picacho started as a
mining town.  In 1961, it was established as a State Park. Friends4Picacho  was started in 2012 in response to the threat of park closure. We have evolved as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization offering volunteer and financial support to Picacho SRA. Please join us!

Do Your Part:
Become a supporter.  Volunteer.  Visit.
Introduce Picacho to your family and friends.

It's OUR park,  let's join together to support Picacho SRA.
